Job Title:  Inside Sales Manager 
Summary of Position:
Toolmex Industrial Solutions, Inc. is a master distributor of industrial cutting and workholding tools, selling to a wide variety of distributors, machine tool dealers and end-users (OEMs) throughout the United States, Canada, and Latin America. 
 
The Inside Sales Manager will both (i) manage the inside sales team to maintain and increase sales by cultivating existing accounts and finding new sales opportunities, and (ii) perform as an individual contributor on the sales team (essentially a “player-coach”).  Under the direction of the Vice President of Sales, this individual will assist in designing and implementing a strategic business plan that expands the Company’s customer base and drives market-share and revenue growth. 
 
Essential Duties:
  • Manage day-to-day performance of sales team members; coach and develop direct reports.
  • Hire high-performing salespeople according to HR staffing guidelines; train new salespeople to ensure success.
  • Plan sales and marketing strategies with members of the sales team.
  • Work with sales leadership to ensure consistent lead generation.
  • Generate and qualify leads and sales opportunities by making outbound phone calls to customers; initiate calls for new accounts; collaborate with outside sales team.
  • Proactively call on assigned accounts to introduce new products, promotions, and cross-sell as well as seek out other customers to diversify the client base and gain market share.
  • Create and adjust content of sales presentations with an understanding of the different type of sales outlets; be comfortable with both commodity sales and consultative sales styles.
  • Provide product and technical information to customers in a timely manner.
  • Process orders, prepare correspondences, and fulfill customer needs to ensure satisfaction.
  • Use sales management tools to maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Maintain account profile and track activity via CRM to ensure effective sales support.
  • Achieve annual sales targets.
  • Independent thinking and capable of offering customer sales incentives as well solving customer problems.
  • Proactively participate in improving processes and procedures.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required. 
Education:
High School degree or equivalent required.
BA/BS preferred.  Technical or vocational school training a plus 
Experience:
  • 3 years minimum experience in inside sales, preferably in an industrial supply organization.
  • Prior sales management experience required.
  • Strong sales skills; must be comfortable selling over the phone.
  • Ability to build trust-based relationships with customers over the phone.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, and comfortable learning sales software; experience with operating in an ERP/CRM environment.
  • Mechanical abilities and aptitude; technical understanding of manufacturing is a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cutting tools (indexable products, round cutting tools) and workholding tools is highly desirable.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills required to solve customer problems
  • Ability to manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the sales team required; possess a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to manage and implement change.
